Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you to Bury CofE Primary School. This website aims to give you a snapshot of what life at Bury is all about, this however can never compare to seeing the school first-hand. If you are looking for a school rich in history, yet always forward thinking; book an appointment with Mrs Clark at the school office and we can show you our learning in action.
If there is something that you cannot find on the website, please do not hesitate to get in touch - it will help us to improve our website. As with all of the children at Bury, we are all keen to learn and continuously improve.
The school is set in a fantastic location and we are always developing our curriculum to ensure that we take every advantage of this . We have links with the Church and those are reflected in our caring, loving Christian ethos based around the Christian values of courage, humility, wisdom, compassion and perseverance. Whilst we have a strong emphasis on ensuring the children leave Bury with excellent standards of English and Maths, we believe this is achieved through utilising the whole curriculum; providing those moments of awe and wonder that stimulate curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Bury is a small rural primary school educating children from 4 – 11. We put a great emphasis on truly knowing all our children and knowing the next steps required on their learning journey.
We have much smaller than average class sizes, ensuring the children are given quality time with their teacher and teaching assistant every day. Everyone here is incredibly proud of our school. We were filmed by the South Downs National Park who were keen to share just what a special school Bury CofE Primary is. The video is just above. Have a look and see if what we offer here at Bury is the right place for your child.

Bury CE Primary on the Television!
BBC South Today were so impressed when they visited the school for a South Downs special that they recorded an extra special feature all about our outdoor learning.
